We already discussed what would happen if there was no internet, especially for your company, so analyze the existence on the internet and guide the process with the same questions this weeks module started with: Guiding questions to identifying and resolving "the problem" as you go through the prompts: • What is the problem? • Who has the problem? (Or could have the problem) • Why should the problem be solved? • How will people know the problem as been solved? Team Response should at least answer the following questions/Topics: • What opportunities for collaboration on a global scale are possible, or have happened? • What about the company network: o What network providers/services are mainly used and why? o what is its capacity? o Is there a history of network failure, when, how long for, and possible reasons of why? o Are the any fail-safes that will ensure the network will work again, do they have an IT team or contact for support? • How easy is it to find what you are looking for? o Is it easy to find the actual webpage? (for example if you use your web browser to look for "Skyline" what results do you get, are they the ones you were looking for - what other sites are prioritized over the one you are looking for, and possibly why?) o Is it easy to find the answers/products on the webpage for customer ease of use? why or why not? • What protocol standards do you need to follow: o Are they evolving along with technology? why or why not? o De Facto o De Jure • Analyze the company's existence and functionality online: o Positives to being online: for the business, the customer, and any other stakeholders o Negatives to being online: for the business, the customer, and any other stakeholders - including but not limited to: ? technology compromised by misuse, misconfiguration, or mismanagement ? security and safety in activities, such as purchases (credit card information), collection of personal identifying information (that can result in an adverse action such as identity theft), and other actions that might require additional security o Guiding Ethics used and why o Intellectual Property - what is protected and why? how is it protected and for how long and why? o Online Advertising: are you safe from online advertising fraud, why or why not? where do you see a possible issue occurring (slide 17 in this weeks powerpoint) PreviousNext
